This weeks lesson has posed many questions for me.
What is REAL education..you know the kind God intends?
How am I using the scriptures as keys to good and evil, rules to live by, and standards to measure the conduct of prince and pastor as well as a means to salvation?
What is FAITHFUL teaching?
In what ways am I free? In what ways am I in bondage?
How am I teaching Christian principles in my home, in my church, and in Vanguard?
What is reasoning? What does it have to do with revelation?
I how do I help the youth to "see"?
What spirit do I feel during Vanguard classes?
How can I be STRONG in spirit, in mind, in body?
How do I show God I love Him with ALL my mind?
Would virtues be better than principles?
Are our methods in Vanguard Christian?
How do I differential between learning and coming to the knowledge of the truth?
What is unfeigned faith?
Do I believe we can/should have youth as good as they are described in Timothy...gentle, patient, meek, righteous...full of faith, charity, peace, and pure hearts....not seeking after self or youthful lusts or vain bablings?
How do I become strong in the grace of God?
What good works do we do?
How does honesty play into accountability at Vanguard?
Are my goals spiritual goals?
I am sure there are a few hundred more that I have not even noticed or "seen." I am also hoping that as we discuss more, read more and study more that I will find a few answers to these questions and many others.

Topics from The Loneliness of Leadership
Are we, as women, needed as leaders?
Do you look for different traits in a leader based on where the leadership is taking place: church, political, business, community, family?
Charity: how do you show this as a leader, how do you gain this as a leader?
Why do we have to be lonely?

Home
I wanted this "place" to feel like home.
I wanted this "place" for a space to drop off your thoughts and cares, your wishes and wants, and most important your special-"ness" and souls.
Please feel at home!
A place to sit and visit.
A place to remember and remind.
A place to invite a good friend to stay a while
A place to curl up with your own thoughts.
A place to weave new worlds
A place to paint new pictures from your mind
A place of comfort and compassion.
I wanted this "place" for a space to drop off your thoughts and cares, your wishes and wants, and most important your special-"ness" and souls.
Please feel at home!
A Place to Gather
Just a few housekeeping items as we have this place to gather:
This is a public blog, which means that anyone who stumbles upon it on the internet can peruse at their leisure. Some people (like me) would like to keep it a little more private by not using my "name" If you are one of those people (like me) please use a pen name or a nickname when posting or writing on the blog.
If you are using your given name that is great, but please be careful when responding or commenting or discussing with others to use nicknames when possible or refer to them in general terms such as....to the brilliant author who wrote....or...the genius who said....or....the amazing paper entitled.... I know that I will appreciate it and it is nice to be cyber safe :)
Also, just a reminder that sometimes we (I) write in my speaking voice, but that might not be someone else's hearing voice. It is always good to re-read and "polite-ness" check our writings before publishing them. Wouldn't it be nice if microsoft had a polite-ness checker :)
Lastly, the best way to have a forum is for people to contribute. Gathering and Writing indicates that people will gather here and actually write something here :) I hope you all will. Even if you just leave a thought about something that has stuck with you since reading or discussing, or a full screen diatribe about social ills. I look forward to enjoying your thoughts and feelings!
If this is your first time to "blogging" and you would like some instructions please leave a comment and I will try to navigate you through it
Happy Writing!
